Walking along the canal outside of Fromista, the “Canal de Castilla”, storm clouds were moving in from ahead of me, as well as behind. I was surrounded. I think this was the only time of anxiety for me while walking: I could see lightening all around and no protection to be had, and was still a couple miles from town. I set a personal record for speed that day.
